In Conversation with Preity Zinta...
TV HOST: But then Preity, what about Ishk In Paris was also so seductive that you decided "okay, Im gonna do this now."
PREITY ZINTA: Film is my first love, because it wasn't something I intended to fall in love with but I grew to love it, it nurtured me, and I learned so much from it. But you know sometimes when you have everything around you, you don't appreciate it at that point or you need something else to stimulate you and yee to step away and do what ever. And so I was in cricket for some time and I was sitting and we lost this really important game, which meant we wouldn't make it to the semi finals and I was sitting out there with a long face. And the DALAI LAMA was sitting next to me, and he just touched my hand and said "it's okay". I said "sir with all due respect, it's not okay. I don't play to lose, I play to win." So he smiled and I was looking at him and thinking "why is he smiling at my misery" and he said "if you want to win you should be playing your own field. I don't see you holding a bat, how you gonna win this game?" And I just looked at him and I was like "Oh my God :|" and that was the time Prem came to me with a script and suddenly it fell into place.
